 indoor and out door track are very different (at least for the throwing events). outdoor you are throwing on a concrete surface with a metal shot put. But for indoor, you are throwing a plastic cased shot put with beads inside and normally throwing on a wooded surface. the indoor shot put is also bigger in size. this will help the athletes get a better push on the shot so that they can get a better flick. this normally causes a better throw. Moth athletes that throw shot put actually prefer indoor because of the side of the shot put.

A lot of people I have talked to thinks that being a student athlete is not as hard as it looks. But in all reality, it is much harder than people think. your day is usually consistent with waking up early to eat than going to classes. Usually right after classes you head to practice and than go to lift. Normally we are done at 6 or 7. We go home, eat, and do homework. After that we go to bed and do it all again for or the rest of the week.

 Iv been doing track for 10 years now and i still will never lose my love for it. I went to college at Shippensburg University my first year of college. I competed in the PSAC for a year and than i decided to take a break. I went home to a community college for a year and worked as well. after a year at the community college and working i decided it was time to try and get back into a university and get back into track. i talked to slippery rocks coach and he had said that i could join the team. so after a year i finally got back into a University and i could not be happier with school and the team.

Hello I am Logan Parker and I am a transfer student from Shippensburg University. I am on the track and field team at Slippery Rock. I am in the PAFM program here hoping to become a track and field coach and a strength and conditioning coach for a college or university. I do not have anywhere i would particularly want to go for coaching. It would always be nice to be a coach at the same school i competed at though.
